The Notorious B.I.G. is an American rapper with a short and distinguished career. After six years of Gangsta Rap and rivalry with Tupac Shakur, "Biggie" was murdered on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles.

Along with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, 2Pac is one of the most important figures in the history of West Coast rap gangsta. Murdered at the age of 25, his untimely death made him a legend. Today, it remains a symbol for a whole generation. He is recognized as the greatest seller in the history of rap with more than 75 million albums sold worldwide. The many posthumous albums and greatest hits released after his death do not deny this success.

Kurt Cobain is an American rocker born on February 20, 1967 in Aberdeen, Washington. The divorce of his parents, when he was only 8 years old, deeply affected him; living sometimes with his father, sometimes with his mother, sometimes with relatives, he struggled to find a balance in life. Bad in his skin, he even poses as a homosexual out of provocation to the conservative community in which he grew up. He then took refuge in art, and particularly music: a fan of the Beatles, punk rock and heavy metal, he played guitar from the age of 14.

In 1984, he met Krist Novoselic and the two men decided three years later to form their own group, Nirvana. After having known several drummers, Dave Grohl's arrival in 1990 definitively sealed the trio in its most famous incarnation. The three men would become the spearheads of the anti- and nihilistic movement known as the grunge. The group will release three albums, the most famous of which, "Nevermind" (1991), will sell more than five million copies. The songs "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Come as You Are" became the hymns of a generation.
