Resume Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood

In 1969, television star Rick Dalton and stuntman Cliff Booth, his long-time understudy, pursued their careers in an industry they no longer recognized.

We're getting out of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in a lot of trouble. We wanted to love this film, to exult as after Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Inglourious Basterds or more recently the amazing Les Huit Salopards. Too much waiting kills drunkenness..... Quentin Tarantino's new declaration of love for his past leaves us riddled with doubts and frustrations: it is in itself a disappointment, given the raw and unconditional pleasure we had come to seek. But as is often the case with the filmmaker with a thousand influences, nothing is simple and even when he confuses to the extreme, a Tarantino film will always be more interesting to experiment than 80% of current Hollywood production.
