Paul Newman was born on January 26, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. He died on September 26, 2008 in Westport, Connecticut. HIS blue EYES fascinated. The American actor had starred in about sixty films. He received the Oscar for best actor, ironically, after being awarded a statuette for his entire career. In 1994, the Academy of Oscars presented him with a new award for his humanitarian activities.
Paul Newman's talent was not limited to film. A car racing enthusiast, this father of six children won second place at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1979.
He had also played an important role in the Civil Rights Movement, participated in some Democratic Party campaigns and participated in conferences for nuclear disarmament. In the 1980s, he launched a line of food products, including vinaigrettes and spaghetti sauces bearing his name. These profits had enabled it to finance charitable organizations.
