The undisputed "King of Pop" and a hugely successful global artist, Michael Jackson has left an unforgettable mark on the music industry.
American author, composer and performer, dancer and choreographer Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. Also an actor and director, he died on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California (USA). At the age of 6, the star began his career in music with the Jackson 5 group, which he formed with his older brothers. In 1971, MJ went solo and a decade later became a pop music icon and one of the 20th century's favourite stars among the public. His albums "Off the Wall", "Thriller", the best-selling opus in the world (between 65 and 105M copies), "Bad", "Dangerous" or "Invincible", as well as his dance step, the "Moonwalk", certainly make a lasting impression.
As early as 1983, the star revolutionized the record industry by designing video clips similar to short films for the cinema. Sacred by many awards and an artist of all superlatives, Jackson's image has been damaged by the eccentricities he has shown in his private life, his love for cosmetic surgery and accusations of touching minors. The star has three children: Prince Michael Jr (1997) and Paris (1998), born from his union with Deborah Rowe, and Prince Michael II, known as Blanket, born in 2002 by artificial insemination and use of a surrogate mother.

Michael Jordan spent his childhood in New York. He joined the university basketball team and quickly distinguished himself by his sporting talents. With his North Carolina team, he won the title of university champion in 1982. Two years later, he won gold at the Olympic Games. Determined and aware of his abilities, he left university to join the Chicago Bulls of the NBA. In 1991, Michael Jordan, at the head of his team, won several titles for three years and gold again in 1992. He suddenly had to face his father's murder and interrupted his career until 1994. On his return, he won three more championships. The world's leading scorer, he has been named the season's best player five times. His tremendous relaxation even earned him the nickname of Michael "Air" Jordan. After a further interruption in 1999, he finally joined the Washington Wizards team, then announced his final departure in 2003.
